Terms

Crating charge for all standard yurts shipped by freight is $197.00.

50% deposit required with order with balance due upon notification that your yurt is ready for shipment.

20% restock charge on canceled invoice total.

Standard Features

Spirit Mountain Yurts provide a great deal of standard features not normally found in this price range. Also there are many options to choose from which are listed halfway down this page.

Lattice Walls

Kiln dried MSR (Machine Stress Rated) lumber* cut 1" x 1 1/2". This detail is very important, as this is much sturdier than most yurts being sold today. Many of our customers do not feel the need to purchase the additional snow load kit because our standard walls are very strong. All of our yurt walls are 7 feet high.

This is normally an option with other yurt companies.

All wood pieces for our lattice walls are planed, sanded, and finished with a professional wood oil and assembled with acorn nuts and bolts. Many yurts are pop riveted instead of using bolts and nuts which make it more difficult to change out a lattice piece that might have become damaged.

Roof Rafters

Kiln dried MSR (Machine Stress Rated) lumber* which is planed, sanded, and finished with a professional wood oil. Hardened steel pins are used which fit into holes in the yurt compression ring. All points of stress are re-enforced. Metal brackets are included, which keep the rafters in place during high winds and storm conditions (a feature not normally seen with other yurts in this price range).

MSR lumber is the highest quality lumber for this purpose. Each board is mechanically tested for strength, and the grain is straight with only small knots.

Crown (Compression Ring)

Laminated Douglas fir compression ring. We make ours very stocky for exceptional strength. It is finished with a durable wood oil and is both glued and bolted together.

Door & Frame

Beautiful solid wood door with frame. All wood is finished with a professional wood oil. Includes hinges and quality lock set.

Skylight Dome

Durable, low maintenance clear acrylic dome. This is nromally an option with other

yurt companies in this price range.

Tension Cable

Aircraft quality steel, 4200 lb. breaking strength.

Windows

Two windows come with standard yurt price. One large window (48"x48"), fiberglass screen with two storm flaps. The bottom flap is made of clear vinyl framed with marine quality velcro, top flap matches wall canvas. Also, one large picture window (54” x 60").

Roof Vinyl

Standard roof cover comes with an eight year warranty. This flame retardant vinyl provides excellent durability, low maintenance, and total protection from the elements. Roof vinyl upgrade is available (see below).

Wall Cover

Standard wall cover is an acrylic coated flame retardant poly canvas that provides exceptional strength, durability and low maintenance. Standard colors are tan forest green, burgundy and navy. Eight year warranty on canvas walls. Wall canvas upgrade is available (see below).

Also included are instructions for setting up your yurt, and personal consultations to help with set up.

Snow Load Kit

2 X 4 upright supports that are attached to the bottom end of each roof rafter and also attached to the yurt floor. These supports are planed, sanded and stained to match the rest of the yurt framework. Because our lattice is so thick many do not feel the need for a snow load kit. We do recommend them in heavy snowfall areas.
